Trooped the make a wish picnic with my garrison today. Wore my Tusken Raider Costume and had a blast rockin my new Gaffi stick. I made people laugh when I was dancing in front of the DJ. I didn't really scare any kids this time and actully a little girl said I was her friend and led my around the event for bit. I think it's funny that some children overcome their fears, some don't and others have no fear at all.

Harry Potter at the Mountains of Madness...

I discovered that some things are best kept in the darkened recesses of the subconscious never to see the light of day nor ever be spoken of in the company of others but a few have the strength to escape the prison of the mind and invade one's nightime dreaming and enter into a daytime conversation or be made into reality by one's own hands...such a thing happened this morning.

Possibly brought on by an overly stressful week of work with the added fortification of a Whopper Jr., little sleep and a rough 3 hour commute home I drempt one of the oddest dreams in quite some time. I remembered that morning and still it seems to linger with me.

My body was tired but my mind was roaming as I read my copy of "At the Mountains of Madness." Mind you, I have yet to complete the reading of this tale by Lovecraft but as I read my wife was watching a special on the latest movie adaptaion of the Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince." which I had read some time ago.

As I attempted to sleep that night my dreams were plagued by the aweful mutation of these two stories. I cannot describe how vivid my dream was nor how the two stories started to merge into one but I remember Harry, Ron, and Hermione running thru the labyrinthine structures of the Elder Things that lay waste in Antarctica. The dream ended abruptly as they encountered the giant formless horror of a Shoggoth.

Now as I sit here typing away this idea for everyone to read and think about I begin to wonder what kind of horrible thing has my psyche accidently unleashed upon this world. Should the world that J.K. Rowling created be combined with the one that Lovecraft revealed to us? And still the idea of Hermione uttering the infamous couplet,"That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die." I find very entertaining.

I'm doing the smart thing and letting my tattoo heal and following the instructions my friend has given me. Funny they said it was gonna scab up but I didn't think it was gonna be like what I'm experiencing. I'm leaving little colored skin flakes every where for the past two days. Little bits come off after every wash and the colors look like they have taken well. It's not itchy and my arm is not sore.

I can't wait to see it after it is fully healed and I can wear some sleeveless shirts or go swimming.

Wish the rain would frelling stop, it doesn't feel like June or Summer for that matter.

At least the animals aren't pairing up two by two yet, then I would worry ...
